Orchard Manor is a county‑owned 74‑bed skilled nursing facility with a 25‑bed ICF‑IID, supported by about 150 staff members who deliver resident‑centered care in a modern rural setting. We invest in our team with robust training and public-sector benefits, while promoting a culture of the following core values: respect, teamwork, empathy, kindness, and honesty.
Our philosophy is visible for all to see in the stained glass window that proclaims “…Adding years to life and life to years…” . Like the trees shown with our name, Orchard Manor has roots that go deep in the community and form a firm foundation upon which to grow. Like the many branches of the tree, each of our residents is a unique individual needing loving care and a safe haven in which to live life to its fullest.
From its 19th‑century beginnings as Grant County’s Farm to today’s modern, fully accessible campus, Orchard Manor has continuously adapted to meet community needs—surviving fires, regulatory change, and multiple campus transformations. Key milestones include adopting the Orchard Manor name in 1973, designating 62 ICF‑IID beds in 1987–1988, a County Board vote on December 21, 1989 to build a new facility, groundbreaking on September 26, 1991, and the move into the current building on January 26, 1993.
